LivingSocial’s DC city blog, SocialStudiesDC, digs deep into DC society and examines the "curious facets that connect us as a city while surprising and delighting the bejeezus out of you".
A very well-presented blog, it's also collaborative and invites the DC community to contribute. The first installment of a new series entitled "Why We Commute" features a DC bicycle commuter weaving his way through rush-hour city traffic, via a mounted GoPro cam.
From socialstudiesdc.com:
In this first installment of “How We Commute,” a series dedicated to the many ways DC denizens get from point A (home) to point B (work), we explore the world’s most popular mode of two-wheel transportation: the bicycle. With a helmet strapped to our head, we set off into the sunrise with a GoPro camera mounted on the handle bar, wheel base, and pedal of our single speed. This is what it looks like to bob, weave, and tear through DC traffic at the height of rush hour.

Is he running red lights?
ReplyDeleteThat first left turn was questionable, and he got a head start on another light. Daring for sure, not sure about illegal.
ReplyDeleteMy commute definitely isn't as exciting ;)
